Sudan is one of the most impoverished countries in Africa. The project is created to bring better drone transportation of medicine and other vital goods to outlying communities.
The emphasis of the project is to use as much material and technology that can be sourced locally. This strengthens local community intitiatives and also the concept of self-help within Sudan, without relying on outside help and aid.
Letting local people building and participate in the programme has given very many unexpected benefits. there is mush intelligent innovation to be found in the villages whenever the opportunies are avaialble, especially amoung the younger generation. So the actual drones, built from local bits and pieces are all different.
